THE RECOVERY SERVICE

Our recovery service has step down facilities within the grounds of Cherrytrees Care through the three stages. This includes progress from the main house, to the two-bedroom shared flats and subsequently to the one bedroom self-contained flat.
This staged recovery process helps to prepare services to live their life safely and independently in wider community.

 STAGE ONE

Stage one of the recovery model at Cherrytrees Care takes place in the main building.

Here service users will receive one to one 24/7 support from staff located in immediate proximity.
Following a period of assessment, staff will work collaboratively with service users to develop an individualised care plan which is reviewed regularly to ensure a high quality and bespoke delivery of care. Furthermore, staff will support service users to create a weekly structured plan of activities. This will be based on the service users’ goals and interests to promote physical and mental wellbeing.

 STAGE TWO

As a stronger and more confident individual, service users progressing to the second stage of their recovery will move from the main house to a two-bedroom sharing flat on Cherrytrees Care grounds.

At this stage service users are expected to be engaging effectively with their care plan as well as their weekly structure plan of activities.

This transition to more independent accommodation will encourage and facilitate service users ambition to continue their recovery journey. Service users will still be able to access all the services and facilities Cherrytrees Care has to offer, including 24/7 support as per their needs and wishes.

In stage two of the step down process, service user expected to have gained more ownership of their care through self-administration of medication and demonstrate more understanding of how to meet their needs.

 STAGE THREE

At the final stage of recovery, service users will have the opportunity to progress from the two bedroom sharing flats to a one bedroom self-contained flat on site.

Here services users will have the opportunity to trial a completely independent lifestyle with the safety net of support from staff that know them well. At this stage service users should feel confident and competent in making decisions/managing situations in their life.
All service users in the final stage of their recovery should be able to care for themselves with minimal staff assistance.

They should be autonomous with their weekly structured plan with the view to progressing back into the community as a self-motivated and more resilient individual.

Even in this final stage of recovery, service users continue to have access to all facilities and most importantly 24/7 care and support.
