Cherrytrees Care is pleased to announce the opening of our brand new health and fitness centre with state of the art gym equipment.
The gym is fitted with surround sound music system, heating and spot lights so that it can be used all year round.
Cherrytrees Care service users have used nearby gym facilities in the local area with staff support. However, following the recent emergence of COVID-19 and subsequent lockdowns which prevented our service users from accessing local amenities. As a result, Cherrytrees Care decided to develop an onsite gym facility, which would enable service users to benefit from regular exercise even when this is not possible in the local community. Service users and members of staff are all ready seeing the benefit of the new development.
Service user - "I've never been to the gym before and I've always felt too shy to go into the leisure centre even with staff. Now that there is a gym here, I feel much more confident to do my exercise".
