Cherrytrees Care celebrated World Mental Health Day by joining the #HelloYellow movement for Young Minds and inviting the public in for a free hot drink and a chat.
Members of staff were on hand to facilitate conversations about mental health to help reduce stigma, raise awareness and provide important information about accessing support.
Currently 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in the UK and less that 1 in 3 young people with a mental health condition get access to NHS care and treatment (Young Minds, 2023).
In addition to this, almost half a million young people are either waiting for or undergoing treatment with mental health services every month (Young Minds, 2023).
